I’m originally from Karmøy, a small island off the southwest coast of Norway, in Rogaland County. I grew up in Visnes—known for providing the copper used in the Statue of Liberty—which feels especially fitting, since my journey has taken me across the Atlantic to pursue new opportunities. I moved to the U.S. in 2016 to study computer engineering, but along the way, I discovered something that piqued my interest even more: Simulation and Game Development.
I earned my Associate in Applied Science in Simulation and Game Development in 2019, and later completed my Bachelor's in Game Art and Development from Southern New Hampshire University. Since then, I’ve been working full-time as a faculty member at Central Piedmont Community College, where I teach courses in 3D modeling, mobile programming, virtual reality (VR), level design, streaming, and other evolving areas of game development. I love supporting my students as they grow their skills, explore the field, and find their own voices in the industry.
My work often blends creativity and technology. I’m especially passionate about 3D modeling and VR—fields where I get to build immersive experiences from the ground up. I’ve led VR workshops and summer camps, developed original models for use in simulations, and integrated VR deeply into my curriculum. I believe VR is a key part of our future, and there’s something truly magical about watching students interact with environments they’ve helped create.
Beyond the classroom, I also mentor teens through the Cxmmunity Foundation’s Teen Tech Center, introducing them to career paths in esports. We organize tournaments, create content, and explore shoutcasting, event planning, and more. It’s important to me that students feel empowered to take the lead and build something meaningful together.
